Navigating the Website

When a link opens your default media player or another external window, such as Windows Media Player or Microsoft Word, close the application when you are finished there, and you should be right back to this website. If you are on a remote website with no return link to this site, you can hit your browser's 'Back' button from one to several times to get back. If you have surfed extensively on the remote site, it would probably be easier to enter our URL back into the URL (Address) field at the top of your browser.( http://westtexasgardening.org )

If you click on a link that opens Adobe Reader, you can use the 'Back" button at the top-left of the screen in the reader to return to the previous page, just as you would in your browser.

Most of the pages on this site have a link panel on the left side of the page. The top button is the home button. You can click on it from anywhere to get back to the home page. You can also navigate directly to the pages directly from the link panel. In addition, most pages have conventional links either along the top or bottom of the page. Most of these links take you to pages within the same group.

You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to read PDF (Portable Document Files). You can download the free Acrobat Reader by clicking on the "Get Adobe Reader" button below.

To view Flash files (video) you will need Adobe FlashPlayer. You can also download it free by clicking on the "Get Adobe FlashPlayer" button below. PDF documents have companion Flash documents in most cases. The Flash pages are preferred over PDF UNLESS the document has bookmarks or indices. The Flash looks as good as PDF and prints as well, but does not have indices.

When download of these files is complete, follow on-screen instructions to install them on your computer. You can save the installers on your harddrive (Save) for manual installation or install (Open) the programs for automatic installation.
