C - Dazzle Me Pink

Copious bubble gum-pink flowers froth the foliage of ‘Dazzle Me Pink’ in late June-July, while the lustrous, dark green leaves serve as a great contrast to the bright flowers. ‘Dazzle Me Pink’ grows from 3 to 5 feet high and wide in 5 to 7 years. The foliage is highly mildew resistant but does tend to abscise in autumn earlier than the other selections. ‘Dazzle Me Pink’ is the first to flower and is stunning in its best incarnation.
D - Cherry Dazzle

The first true red compact crapemyrtle, and it will truly Dazzle you! Shiny red buds open to dazzling, cherry red flowers in July-August and blooms are produced from summer into fall. The emerging bronze leaves turn dark green and eventually turn orange-red-purple in autumn. Leaves are highly resistant to mildew and Cercospora leaf spot. ‘Cherry Dazzle’ has a restrained, compact, mounded habit that is 3 to 5 feet high and wide in 4 to 5 years.
E - Acoma

A semi-dwarf variety with low spreading growth habit and pure white blooms. Lagerstroemia fauriei Acoma can be mass planted to create a great, colorful summer hedge.
F - Raspberry Dazzle

These lovely raspberry colored flowers are nicely displayed against small, lustrous dark green leaves which develop into a showy red color in fall. ‘Raspberry Dazzle’ grows 4 to 5 feet high and 2 to 3 feet wide in 4 to 5 years. Though the foliage may develop slight mildew, it is reminiscent of Cotoneaster apiculatus and has a unique branching pattern to the foliage.
G - Velma's Royal Delight

This crape myrtle cultivar is a compact, upright, multi-stemmed shrub which features dark green foliage turning orange to red in fall and terminal, crepe-papery, 6-9" long inflorescences (panicles) of magenta pink flowers from mid-summer to early fall. Flowers give way to seed capsules which often persist well into winter. In the South where winter hardiness is not a problem, this plant can easily be grown as a small woody shrub with a maximum size of 5' tall by 4' wide. In the St. Louis area where winter injury is a problem, plants will grow smaller.
H - Snow Dazzle

|The youngest leaves are bronze-purple which mature to green and has a wavy surface. The pure, snow white flowers have showy yellow stamens which open in July-August. ‘Snow Dazzle’ has a compact-mounded habit and will reach 2 to 3 feet high and wide in 3 years. The foliage is highly mildew and Cercospora resistant, and ‘Snow Dazzle’ will occasionally develop a fast growing reversion shoot which should be removed.
I - Pecos


Tougher than its refined Southern cousin but every bit as beautiful. The Hardy Pecos Crape Myrtle tolerates subzero temps, consistently produces loads of sweet pink flowers. Leaves turn scarlet in fall. Grows just 7 feet tall with a rounded top. Red-tinged, gray-barked branches are heavy with blooms from mid to late summer.

J - Yuma

'Yuma' grows as a multi-stemmed shrub reaching 10 to 15 feet. Young leaves are bronze-tinged, later dark green and finally turning dull yellow-orange. Flowers are bicolored medium lavender during July and August. The old bark exfoliates to produce a light gray bark.
K - Ruby Dazzle

Prized for its ruby-red-purple foliage and dense compact spreading habit. ‘Ruby Dazzle’ is a superior foliage plant and considered as a possible alternative to Crimson Pygmy barberry. The pink flowers of ‘Ruby Dazzle’ are sparsely produced in August and have a compact mounded habit that is 2 to 3 feet high and wide in 4 to 5 years. This selection requires no pruning as it maintains a uniform dense network of stems and foliage. Mildew and Cercospora resistant foliage.
L - Pocomoke (Pokomoke)

Plant this rosy-flowered little beauty in all of your summer fun areas. Great as a container plant on patio or deck. Rose pink blooms on a compact 19 inches tall by 35 inches wide mound after 8 years, with bronze-red fall color. Blooms for 90 days starting in midseason. Unique habit, perfect for bonsai, ground cover, containers wherever a mass of low-growing summer color is needed in full sun.
M - Tuskegee

Tuskegee was introduced in 1986. Typical average height is 15 to 20 feet. Excellent resistance to powdery mildew and Cercospora leaf spot. The flowers are dark pink to near red and are very
showy, lasting spring through fall. Foliage is green, turning to an attractive orange and red in fall. The fruit is dry, oval, round, persistent, attractive and brown in color.
N - Catawba

One of the best purple flowering selections available. Displays large, long lasting clusters actually masses of dark purple crepe-like flowers in summer. Handsome foliage has bronzy cast in spring, bright green in summer, orange-red fall color. Mildew resistant. Moderate-growing to rounded dome 15 feet tall, 14 feet wide.
O - Pink Velour

Displays delicate pink blooms that last for months. Its vibrant fuchsia-pink blooms make it a colorful choice for a privacy hedge. These trees grow to a spread of 8-10 feet, so you can plant them 4-5 feet apart for a beautiful privacy screen or property divider.
P- Arapaho

The first hybrid crapemyrtle cultivar derived from hybridization
of three species of Lagerstroemia: L. indica, L. fauriei, and L. limii. Strong
red flowers combine with increased powdery mildew tolerance on a
medium-size tree.
Height and width: 20 feet tall and 10 feet wide at 16 years.Deciduous, multiple or single stemmed medium-sized upright tree with exfoliating bark to reveal light tan trunk.
Glossy, dark green leaves tinged with maroon. Highly mildew tolerant under field conditions.
Panicles of near true red flowers.
'Arapaho' grows and flowers best in a heavy loam to clay soil in full sun.
Grows well in hot, difficult sites.
