This garden, situated next to the Recycle Time Machine in Odessa, was developed to demonstrate and teach composting and mulching by recycling yard waste.  Multiple types of compost bins and landscaped beds demonstrate these practices.  The landscaped areas should demonstrate xeriscape principles.  Approximately 100 people are given in-depth training in formal compost classes in this garden each year.  The garden is open and accessible to the general public.  A special emphasis is placed on ornamental grasses, an under utilized, well adapted and useful plant catagory for area landscapes.
