Our purpose is to train Master Gardeners and to inform area gardeners on the use of gardening practices that protect our environment. One of our ongoing projects is to evaluate new plants for long term performance in our region.
The EarthKind principles featured in this garden should encourage visitors to incorporate these methods into their own home landscapes. These principles combine the best of organic and traditional gardening practices. The EarthKind principles include:
Reducing landscape water use
Reducing landscape fertilizer and pesticide use
Reducing yard wastes entering our landfills
